We were very happy working with BAT & Co renovating our 1880s Haussmannien apartment. We began initial coordination and design while we were in the United States so that everything was ready to begin when we arrived in France to begin the renovation. BAT & Co were able to provide detailed schedule, cost, and drawing design plans to keep everything fully transparent and within budget. We were able to meet weekly on-site with the team. They are always interesting challenges to solve when working in an old building and BAT & Co were always able to identify problems are find solutions. BAT & Co provided end-to-end services from interior design to on-site project management. The on-site work included complete interior demolition, repairing and replacing flooring, repairing and painting walls, reworking electrical, moving doors, creating custom built-ins and closets, completely renovating a bathroom, as well as exterior work restoring our balcony railings. The interior design work included furniture selection and placement for bedrooms, living, dining, office, and hallways. New curtains, door handles, paint color, electrical outlets, and lighting. We were very happy with the completed project and all of our friends and family that have visited are all very impressed with the results.

I can strongly recommend BAT&CO for the following reasons: Honesty and Integrity: With the exception of problems that could potentially be revealed during demolition, BAT&CO will fulfil their commitments within the agreed budget. If problems revealed during demolition require additional costs, BAT&CO will ask for your approval as they happen. In a couple of instances, BAT&CO uncovered shoddy electrical and plumbing work performed during prior construction, which they documented clearly for me and gave me the option to redo at additional cost. If you encourage them, and only if you encourage them, BAT&CO will make recommendations for improving your property. While it is natural to suspect a contractor of wanting to simply increase billings, BAT&CO has all the business it can handle, largely due to its reputation (as I subsequently learned from other sources), and it does not need to risk that reputation by encouraging unnecessary work. I always found their suggestions to be excellent and sensible, even if I did not accept them. Craftsmanship: In all trades: painting/plasterwork, carpentry/millwork/cabinetry, tile setting, plumbing and electrical were performed with great skill. There was an obvious difference between the work performed on my first renovation and the work performed by BAT&CO. Attention to detail: I think the word “fanatical” is strong enough to describe the level of attention that BAT&CO brings to the details of their work. Service: During construction, I received a continuous stream of e-mails with design drawings, pictures and videos that allowed me to be fully engaged in the design and to monitor construction progress, almost as well as if I had been on site. If I had questions or comments, BAT&CO always responded to my e-mail inquiries promptly and courteously. In most cases, any concerns that I raised were already in their plan. If not, they addressed my concerns in a positive way and adapted accordingly. Issues can arise after construction has been completed. I have also seen that BAT&CO provides prompt service and support for problems that they are responsible for. Design excellence: although I engaged BAT&CO in coordination with an interior designer, there were a number of instances where BAT&CO provided designs for room layout, millwork, cabinetry and tile work. Some of the rooms, particularly the bathrooms, required several iterations of design drawings until I was satisfied with the designs. BAT&CO worked patiently with me in all cases and made excellent suggestions that really improved the outcome. Cleanliness and orderliness of the workplace, both within the apartment and the common areas of the building: After construction was completed, all that was required was a crew of three people working for a day to remove any residual dust and dirt. There was no residual paint anywhere on the windows or the floors.

Pour nous il s’agissait de rénover et repenser totalement un studio de 22m2 à Paris. Nous n’avions jamais suivi de travaux aussi importants auparavant. Le choix de BAT & CO s’est avéré être la solution idéale car nous avons trouvé aussi bien l’écoute, une grande disponibilité avec de très nombreux échanges, mais aussi le conseil, l’efficacité et le souci des détails.
